The idea behind a meal for camping is easy and quick! Look no further, foil dinners are an easy and healthful option to enjoy surrounding your campfire this weekend!

*Family challenge* Have your kiddo's pick the items to put into the dinner and it will excite them about trying something new!!

Ingredients:

Protein of Choice (Chicken, Ground Beef, Ground Turkey, Beans, etc)

Vegetables of Choice (Zucchini, Squash, Corn, Carrots, Celery, etc)

Starch of Choice (Whole Grain Rice, Russet Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes)

Seasoning of Choice (Favorite marinade, Dressing, or Olive oil with dry seasonings)

Directions:

Prepare and combine selected ingredients in a piece of tin foil. If utilizing rice, it will need to be cooked ahead of time. Rice is usually something I would cook at home and then pack to reheat inside of these dinners. Cook foil dinner on the grill or fire until the contents

is cooked thoroughly.

In the photo, I utilized sliced chicken, mushrooms, zucchini, yellow squash, and cooked whole grain wild rice. I topped my selections with a low-sodium marinade and let marinate for several hours while we were busy playing on the sand dunes! When we returned to the cabin for dinner we placed foil dinners on the grill for roughly 20 minutes. Once the chicken was cooked we

enjoyed right out of the tinfoil containers!

Delicious and no dishes!! Happy Camping!
