Have you ever had a recipe and you already had exactly what you needed on hand? Best feeling ever, am I right? Maybe it's this soup for you too!
1lb ground Italian sausage or ground chicken sausage
1 onion, diced
2-3 garlic cloves, minced - or 2-3 tsp minced garlic
3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
2 cup marinara sauce (about 1/2 jar)
2.5 cups water
6 ounces preferred pasta
1. Brown up sausage. Add onions and garlic and cook until softened.
2. Add chicken brother, marinara sauce, and water. Bring to a boil.
3. Add pasta and cook as long as it says on the box of pasta chosen.
4. Serve it up! Add ricotta cheese and/or parmesan cheese on top!
This is a great recipe to add favorite veggies, like frozen spinach, diced peppers, or even diced zucchini. You could definitely also add some fresh herbs! Gotta love versatile and easy recipes.
