An easy side dish that you can create with any variety of swiss chard or spinach.
1 1/2 cup Swiss Chard Stems
4 cup Swiss Chard Leaves
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Garlic, Minced
Salt & Pepper, to taste
Wash your green of choosing thoroughly. In this photo I used rainbow swiss chard. You can use any variety of swiss chard or spinach for this recipe. Once washed, cut the greens and separate stems and leaves.
In a medium skillet, heat olive oil and garlic. Once warm and you can start to smell the garlic, add the swiss chard stems. Sautee on medium to high heat for about 5 minutes or until tender.
Once the stems are tender, add the leaves and cook until wilted.
Salt and pepper, to taste. Enjoy!
